I am a student currently studying an MA in Library and Information Studies at UCL, and I currently work part time as a library assistant for the London Business School. Previously I was a graduate trainee at the library of Norton Rose LLP, and I have volunteered at Senate House Library and for the Summer Reading Champion Challenge scheme for Blackfen and Bexley Village public libraries.
Before deciding to become a librarian I studied a degree in Philosophy and Literature at Warwick University (you can tell that I have always loved books!), and while studying I created the Warwick Irish Dancing Society, where I was President for two years, and which I am very proud to say is still going strong today.
Irish Dancing and reading books have both been permanent loves of my life; I have been dancing since I was 6 years old and I am still Irish Dancing today, and am currently training to return to competitions.
However a new hobby I have picked up during my library traineeship is baking novelty party cakes, which I absolutely love. Sadly, while studying my MA I have not been able to bake as much as I would like to!
